Behind the Pams Brand, There's a Whole Lot of New Zealand
07 October 2026
When you pick up a Pams product, you might be surprised to learn just how much New Zealand goes into it.
Today, more than 70% of Pams sales come from products made in or sourced from New Zealand, with over 180 Kiwi suppliers helping bring Pams products to households across the country.
For nearly 90 years, Pams has been delivering quality products at great value. From pantry staples and fresh produce to household essentials, our range now includes more than 2,500 products found in homes across Aotearoa.
Behind those products is a network of growers, makers, manufacturers and family-owned businesses, many of whom we've worked alongside for years.
"Our supplier partnerships are a huge part of what makes Pams possible," says Lisa Oldershaw, General Manager Own Brands. "Together, we're able to deliver the quality, value and reliability that Kiwi shoppers know and trust."
The Local Businesses Behind the Label
Across New Zealand, local businesses play an important role in helping bring Pams products to life.
In Palmerston North, Morgan Laurenson supplies Pams salad bags and salad mixes, as well as potatoes, carrots and onions. Working with growers around the country, fresh produce arrives at its facility six days a week before making its way to supermarket shelves.
In Ōtaki, Dowco has been manufacturing cleaning products for Pams for almost 30 years. What started as a small business relationship has grown into a long-standing partnership, with the company now producing a wide range of Pams cleaning products while exploring opportunities to incorporate recycled New Zealand kerbside plastics into its packaging.

Further south in Blenheim, family-owned Springbrook Foods produces around 20 Pams products, including simmer sauces and crushed garlic, ginger and chilli. What began as a fruit and vegetable growing operation has evolved into a successful food manufacturing business supplying products enjoyed by Kiwi households every day.
These are just a few of the many New Zealand businesses helping create the products you see on shelves.

Supporting Local Where We Can
While the majority of Pams products are made in or sourced from New Zealand, not everything can be produced locally.
Some products, such as rice and pasta, simply aren't grown or manufactured here. In other cases, sourcing overseas can provide the best balance of quality, value, availability and reliable supply.
Our approach is simple: support New Zealand growers, producers and manufacturers wherever it makes sense, while continuing to offer quality products at prices Kiwi families can afford.
As a proudly New Zealand-owned brand, we're committed to backing local businesses and the communities they help support.
More Than a Brand on the Shelf
The businesses behind Pams may not have their names on the front of the pack, but their products are being grown, made and packed in farms, factories and processing facilities across New Zealand every day.
Together, they help us deliver quality products and great value to Kiwi households from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
Because behind every Pams product, there's a whole lot of New Zealand.
