Packaging
With over 2,500 products, we're focused on reducing the environmental impact of our packaging wherever we can.
Our goal? To make all Pams packaging reusable, recyclable, or certified home compostable wherever its practical.
To help us get there, we've developed 10 Sustainable Packaging Principles that guide better decisions across our range.
These principles broadly focus on:
- Removing and reducing unnecessary packaging.
- Designing packaging from materials that can be easily recycled.
- Using recycled materials wherever possible to keep resources in use for longer and avoid waste.
Making Recycling Easier
Recycling can be confusing (we get it!) so we use the Australasian Recycling Label (ARL) across our packaging. Developed by the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), the ARL takes the guesswork out of what to do with packaging once you're done with it.
Here's what the ARL means:
 | Kerbside Recycling This item can go in your household recycling bin. Be sure to rinse it if it still has product residue (e.g milk in the bottle). |
 | General Waste This packaging isn't recyclable and should go in the rubbish. |
 | Soft Plastics Recycling (Check Locally) Some packaging can be dropped off at participating stores for specialised recycling. Make sure its empty, clean and dry. Tip: Rinse food bags, turn them inside out, and let them air dry overnight. Need help finding your closest drop-off point? |
 | Food & Beverage Cartons (Drop Off Only) We've joined the Food & Beverage Carton Recycling Scheme to make it easier to recycle milk and juice cartons. Drop them off clean, flat, and with the caps on at participating stores. Need help finding your closest drop-off point? |
