Cheat's Prawn & Avocado Sushi
Craving delicious prawn & avo sushi but lacking on time? This cheats version has all the flavours of your favourite authentic rolls but can be whipped up in no time! Serve with Pams Soy Sauce, wasabi & pickled ginger.
Tips & Tricks
- Get creative with your favourite sushi fillings and combinations. We also love using Pams Cold Smoked Salmon and Pams Cucumber. Or make your own teriyaki chicken.
- Using a sushi mat can help you make the perfect sushi roll, but if you don’t have one then don’t let that stop you! You can still make delicious sushi at home using your hands to make your rolls.
Ingredients
- • 2 Pams Jasmine Instant Rice Pouches
- • ¾ cup cream cheese
- • 1 Tbsp Pams White Vinegar
- • 3 nori sheets
- • 1 Pams Avocado, sliced
- • 18 Pams Finest Premium Cooked Jumbo Prawns, defrosted & tails removed
Method
- Microwave the rice pouches and add to a large mixing bowl. Add the cream cheese and vinegar and a big pinch of salt and mix until completely combined. Leave to cool slightly until sticky and cool enough to touch.
- Place your nori sheet out on a clean surface, or clean tea towel, with the shiny side down.
- Using damp fingers, spread 1/3 of the rice over nori pressing down firmly, leaving a 2cm strip along the top edge.
- Layer the sliced avocado and prawns in a strip in the middle of the rice.
- Lift the bottom edge of the nori up and roll it over top of the fillings. Tuck the bottom edge under and continue rolling, applying light pressure to keep everything in a tight roll. When you get to the top edge, brush a little bit of water across the nori and continue to roll into a tight roll. Wrap the roll in cling film and place in the fridge to set until ready to serve. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Slice each roll into 8 pieces before serving.
