Cheesy Meatball Garlic Bread Subs

With mini meatballs, gooey cheese and a saucy centre – these garlic bread subs are perfect for feeding a hungry crowd!

Ingredients

  • 200g beef mince
  • 1 tsp Pams Mixed Herbs
  • 3 Tbsp Pams Coarse Bread Crumbs
  • 1 pack Pams Traditional Garlic Bread (2 loaves)
  • ½ cup Pams Classic Tomato Pasta Sauce
  • ½ cup Pams Grated Mozzarella Cheese

Method

  1. Place the mince, mixed herbs and bread crumbs in a large mixing bowl. Season generously with salt and pepper, then mix to combine. Use a teaspoon to make 18 mini meatballs.
  2. Add a splash of oil to a large frypan over a medium-high heat and sear the meatballs for a few minutes until golden all over. Set aside to cool slightly until easy to handle.
  3. Place the garlic bread on a baking tray and unwrap the foil. Use a bread knife to cut down the middle of each loaf.
  4. Stuff a generous amount of cheese into the cracks, then spoon half the sauce into the openings and stuff with the meatballs. Spoon over the remaining sauce and another generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Re-wrap loosely with the foil, and place in the oven to bake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
