Nutrition and Labelling

At Pams, we believe that access to healthy, nutritious food shouldn't be a luxury - which is why we are committed to making it easy and affordable for Kiwi families to make positive choices, whatever their tastes, preferences and dietary requirements. We also believe that it is easier to do this when nutritional information is made widely available, and products are clearly and accurately labelled.

We're on a mission to take the guess work out of healthy eating, and to offer New Zealanders products that prioritise good nutrition - without compromising flavour, integrity or affordability.

Health Star Ratings

Health Star Ratings reflect the overall nutrition content and healthiness of packaged foods, offering customers a reliable way to compare products and making it easier to make healthier choices.

Pams are committed to displaying Health Star Ratings on an ever expanding range of relevant products. Find out more about the Health Star Rating system here: https://www.mpi.govt.nz/food-safety-home/how-health-star-ratings-work/

 5+ A Day Labelling

5+ A Day is a Charitable Trust that encourages all Kiwis to eat five or more servings of colourful, fresh fruit and vegetables every day for health and vitality.

Where possible, 5 + a day labelling is used on our Pams produce, to help our customers increase their consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables. Find out more about 5+ A Day, and how you can incorporate more fresh produce into your diet, here: https://www.5aday.co.nz/

Heart Foundation Nutritional Targets

We know that Kiwis are keen to reduce their intake of sugar, salt and saturated fat, and we're working hard to reformulate our range to meet Heart Foundation nutritional guidelines wherever possible. Find out more about these nutritional targets at https://www.heartfoundation.org.nz/.

Organic Certification

Buying organic doesn't have to break the bank - and all Pams organic products are independently certified by BioGro, a leading New Zealand certifier for organic produce and products. Look for the Biogro certification logo on our organic products, and find out more at https://www.biogro.co.nz/.
